The TF1 television group recovered its net profit in 2023, after a year 2022 weighed down by the shutdown of the Salto platform, but recorded a slight decline in turnover, according to a press release published this Thursday.
The group's net profit thus stood at 191.3 million euros, up 9% compared to the previous year (-21.8% in 2022, to 176 million euros).
The shutdown at the beginning of 2023 of the Salto streaming platform, co-managed with M6 and France Télévisions, led to significant provisions for charges in 2022, which had burdened the accounts.
Turnover, for its part, shows a drop of 8.4% (-6.7% at constant scope), to nearly 2.3 million euros.
A drop caused in particular by the shift in the advertising market, which lost 2.1%.
“In 2023, the advertising market was impacted by the macroeconomic context in the first half and experienced a rebound in the second half
,” specifies the group led by Rodolphe Belmer in its press release.

TF1 nevertheless insists on a strong increase in advertising turnover from its MYTF1 streaming platform, which achieved sales of 104.5 million euros, an increase of 15.7%.
Like its competitor M6, the group intends to position itself on free streaming: at the beginning of January, it replaced MYTF1 with a new platform, TF1+, with

After a year of growth, the Newen audiovisual production group is experiencing a 23% decline in revenue, to 329.4 million euros, due in particular to the end of
