The procession of tractors from the 'Cra Agritrici Traditi' has arrived at Circo Massimo where the demonstration called by the movement will soon begin.

Tricolor flags are flying in the square.

"Our work is not a hobby", "Sovereignty and made in Italy who has seen them", "No to uncultivated land" and "Wheat is Italian gold" are some of the signs displayed.

"No to synthetic meat" say the protesters.

Two tractors showed up this morning in front of the Colosseum for the event entitled "I'll give it to you made in Italy" - which is also an online platform - promoted by the organizations Altragricoltura and Popoloproductivo.

The vehicles come from Caserta but stopped at the Castel di Leva garrison.

"For the dignity of citizens, work and producers" can be read on a banner which also features the hashtag #telodoioilmadeinitaly.

"Agriculture is the best culture that comes from nature" is written on a billboard placed on a tractor.

On another "Let's save the hoaxes".

"

Today we tell the government that we are not asking for his resignation, we ask that the government and parliament take responsibility

- the words of the president of Altragricoltura, Gianni Fabbris -. Yesterday there was a meeting, we are evaluating the answers given and in the afternoon we will say what we think. The clear and certain thing is that a discussion is opening on urgent measures but we don't need sops, we need reforms, to restore dignity to farmers, artisans, fishermen, cities and communities".

Around 10:30 the two tractors in front left the Colosseum and returned to the Castel di Leva garrison.

On foot, "farmers from all over the Italian productive fabric" from Altragricoltura and Popoloproductivo, seaside resorts, fishermen, artisans and VAT numbers reached Piazza del Campidoglio to continue the event.

At the foot of Palazzo Senatorio, interventions take place and leaflets are distributed.

"The squares will not unite, we don't want the government to resign",

explains Adriano Novello of the Altragricoltura board speaking of the 'Cra farmers betrayed' demonstration which will instead be held at the Circo Massimo.

Fabbris (Altragricoltura): we ask for the opening of a crisis table

"This is a spontaneous movement, people have taken to the streets because their backs are against the wall. Among the tractors there is an entire generation that claims the right to the future ".

Thus the honorary president of Altragricoltura, Gianni Fabbris, at the demonstration underway at the Campidoglio organized together with Popolo Productivo.

"It's time to turn off the tractors and sit around the table. Italy has another destiny, which is not to be a large supermarket - continues Fabbris - The market must be regulated, production costs must be guaranteed, greener yes but not to the detriment of farmers and farmers."

The president of Altragricoltura recalls that responses from the government are expected in the next few hours, "if the proposals put forward find the first point: the opening of a crisis table", he underlines.

And as regards cultured meat, "it is the last problem we have. It is an ideological campaign that tries to shift the issues by making people believe that we do not have the problems at home. And I would like to ask those who are fighting this fight because in in the meantime he voted for the introduction of new GMOs. To me it seems like a mockery", concludes Fabbris.

Farmers in Padua, procession of 400 tractors for a regional rally

A procession of 400 tractors is filling the car park of the Euganeo stadium in Padua with farmers leading the demonstration against the disadvantageous measures in their sector.

Thus the farmers moved in several sections and 90 agricultural vehicles have already arrived in Padua, via the Strada del Santo, coming from Riese Pio X (Treviso).

Another 160 are crossing the Adriatica road after stopping in Monselice and are preceded by the traffic police relay and the police of various Paduan municipalities headed to the Euganean capital.

Another group of 100 tractors is stopped, on the outskirts of Padua, in an agricultural field belonging to one of the organizers waiting to join the procession at the Euganeo stadium.

The situation is currently calm and the demonstrators are guarded by the police.

According to what has been learned, the protest should end by 5pm.

Blockades in Sardinia on state roads 129 and 131

For the first time since the start of the mobilization in Sardinia, the protest of farmers and breeders against the policies and constraints imposed by the European Union for countryside products touches the province of Nuoro.

About thirty tractors, twenty trucks and as many cars set off on the 129 state road near Bolotana and then continued towards Cagliari, taking the 131, and returning to the 129 from Borore.

Slowdowns and intermittent traffic blocks affected both state roads, with alternative routes on the 131 for a length of one kilometre.

The traffic police are escorting the procession on the move to better manage the traffic.

The demands of the countryside world are now known: the Government is asked for a technical table "to define concrete commitments on national needs - explain the representatives of the movement - We are ready to fight together with the Government on 26 February in Brussels to discuss the Italian emergencies: the containment of swine fever, the damage caused by wildlife, the Irpef exemption, access to credit, fixed-rate land loans for generational turnover, the rule on the right price and vouchers in agriculture".

The farmers of Belìce write to Mattarella

"We have represented our difficulties to the head of the State - says La Marca -. We farmers no longer need buffer interventions but urgent and special rules that guarantee the category a guaranteed minimum income, because at the moment we work at a loss".

"In the agri-food chain we are the weakest link in the chain", adds Nino Ciaccio, promoter of the spontaneous farmers' committees of Sciacca.

Meanwhile, the protest continues.

"We won't leave until we have answers", concludes Vincenzo Interrante, a farmer from Menfi.

The spontaneous farmers' movement of the Belice Valley intends to organize a procession of tractors to the buildings of the Region over the next few days.

"Ours is a peaceful protest, we intend to make use of all the necessary public security authorizations," La Marca said.

Meanwhile, the farmers' protest also received the solidarity of the navy.

Owners and fishermen of the Sciacca fishing fleet reached the permanent garrison of farmers in the Gulfa area this morning, publicly demonstrating their support, sharing in particular the protest against the European Union, which for years has banned various parts of the Mediterranean, where motor trawlers do not they can no longer go.

In Tortona 150 tractors, among the demonstrators Ornella Muti

Almost 150 tractors parade this morning in Tortona (Alessandria) as part of the farmers' protest.

Some arrived from nearby Voghera (Pavia).

Among the protesters also the actress Ornella Muti and her daughter Naike Rivelli, agricultural entrepreneurs.

"We started the demonstrations three weeks ago in Calabria, where we have a large vegetable garden. From the south we went up to Sanremo and today to Piedmont where we also live. It is very important - they explain - to all fight together. There is nothing more important than 'union. We put our best foot forward, despite the sacrifices of running here and there."

Procession with 200 vehicles through the streets of Barletta

A funeral poster attached to a truck.

"After an intense and laborious life - we read - agriculture has ceased to exist. The Italian State and the European Community make the sad announcement with immense joy".

It is just one of the signs and banners accompanying the protest of farmers who are parading through the streets of Barletta this morning on tractors on which they have hoisted the Italian flag.

"There are so many of us, there are around 200 tractors and the large snake made up of ordinary citizens is two kilometers long", explains Ruggiero Tanzi, who is part of the Liberi Agritori Barlettani acronym, organizer of the event.

"We ask the institutions to take to the streets with us because they should relate to Brussels and be spokespersons for our requests", adds Tanzi, highlighting that "agriculture is experiencing a transition, a transition phase and the real problem is that Europe makes calculations on the table without consulting the various Regions but making macro-areas. Ours, here in the South, is quite small but is very different from Northern Europe. Here their impositions are unlikely to go hand in hand with our agriculture".

One of the inconveniences for the Apulian sector, according to the protesters, is the scarcity of water.

"We have private wells and to draw water we have to use electricity, fuel instead - continues Tanzi - if there was a national collaboration plan between Regions, we could ask for help from Molise which is rich in water or from Campania. Or new reservoirs could be created, why doesn't anyone do it?".

A delegation of farmers will be received in the Prefecture.
