Triennale Milano opens its Heart to the public, a space dedicated to its archives (which include over 300 thousand objects, works, books, photos, drawings, models, videos and audio), to research and dissemination.

Thanks to design and restoration work, the original architecture by Giovanni Muzio from 1933 has come back to light and which gives, from the entrance of the Palazzo dell'Arte, the possibility of now looking up to the radial staircase which does not it is more hidden.

"The idea is to have a place where history can be generated. Triennale - explained president Stefano Boeri - will be increasingly open".

Cuore will be open every day for free, with a selection of library volumes and archive treasures, while on the noticeboards in the center of the room there are elements of 'guest' archives (such as the Castiglioni one or the Casva, the Higher Studies in the Visual Arts of Milan).

The new inauguration is part of a "path to recover the spatiality of Muzio which began in 2018 - explained the director Carla Morogallo - first with the restoration of the Teatro dell'Arte, then with the curve on the first floor, then with the cafeteria and services ".

The Cuore project was developed by AR.CH.IT Luca Cappelletti combining the return to the original project with sustainability with energy saving and use of cutting-edge technologies, which for example have allowed the restoration of the glass block which not only allows exploit natural light, but in the evening it allows for new lighting of the façade of the Palace, which from this evening will be illuminated from the inside like a sort of lantern.

Erco took care of the lighting, UniFor designed the shelves suitable for the conservation needs of the various finds, and made with Saviola panels, in entirely recycled material.

"And there was no better opportunity than this - added Boeri - to inaugurate the reborn Triennale Study Centre" which will develop themes that will then be at the center of the programming and of the next triennial exhibitions, creating collaborations and scholarships.

Three doctoral courses have already been activated in collaboration with the Architecture department of the Polytechnic of Milan to explore aspects related to the Triennale scheduled for 2025 which will be dedicated to Diversity.
