Unconvincing adaptations
Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961,
Fantastic Four
are the genesis of Marvel Comics.
And if the comic strip was successful upon its release, the various film adaptations have often had difficulty finding their audience.
Roger Corman's film, produced in the 90s, was never released on the big screen.
Tim Story's feature film, carried in 2005 by Chris Evans and Jessica Alba, also did not attract many people with an unconvincing result at the box office.
According to
Variety
, Matt Shakman will direct the upcoming
Fantastic Four
feature film
.
The screenplay was written by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
With Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in the cast, will this new adaptation of the quartet finally pay homage to the successful comic strip?
Verdict on July 25, 2025.
