Alessandro Miressi wins silver in the 100m freestyle at the swimming world championships in Doha.
In the final the Italian finished in second place with a time of 47.72 behind the Chinese Zanie Pan, who took gold in 47.53.
The bronze was won by the Hungarian Nandor Nemeth (47.78).
"I'm among the best in the world in the 100m freestyle, I'm very happy with this result. Now in view of the Olympics we have four months of hard work ahead of us. Our thoughts are in Paris and we need to think big", Miressi told Rai microphones. .
"Looking at the weather, I'm not satisfied but it's February and it means I'm fine. Pan couldn't escape, I tried to climb progressively, but he was good at the end".
