The US and many Arab countries are working on a detailed plan for a comprehensive peace between Israelis and Palestinians that includes "a fixed timeline" for the birth of the Palestinian state.
The Washington Post (WP) reported this, adding that the announcement could take place in the coming weeks.
The key point of the Plan - continued the newspaper - would be the achievement of an initial ceasefire between Israel and Hamas for 6 weeks during which the US would announce the project and the formation of an interim Palestinian government.
The WP adds, however, that it is not clear that Israel would accept such a move.
The radical right ministers of Netanyahu's government have attacked the announced plan of the US and Arab countries for the birth of a Palestinian state.
The Minister of National Security and leader of 'Jewish Power' Itamar Ben Gvir said that "the intention of the USA together with the Arab countries to establish a terrorist state alongside Israel is disappointing and part of the misconception that on the other side we be a partner for peace".
Finance Minister and leader of Religious Zionism Bezalel Smotrich also attacked, asking the Cabinet to ensure that "a clear decision is made with the opposition to the Plan"
