What the Turin magistrates are doing is a painstaking job, engaged in the investigation by the prosecutor's office of the Piedmontese capital which is investigating the alleged tax fraud within the Agnelli-Elkann family.

To the material already collected during the searches carried out by the financial police in the offices of the family's trust companies and of Dicembre, the family safe, but also in Villa Frescot, a historic residence nestled in the Turin hill, other important papers and files must be added to reconstruct the entire picture.

In fact, the investigators are interested in the original documents regarding the entire family inheritance story.

Starting precisely from "the total absence of original documents underlying the hereditary affair, since the succession", by Giovanni Agnelli.

Without neglecting the exchange of emails and other IT documents that were kept on the PCs.

Part of the material would have already allowed the financial police to identify, as reported by 'Fatto Quotidiano', five hundred million euros in foreign accounts, linked to old deposits of Gianni Agnelli and his widow Marella.

The lawyer's daughter, Margherita Agnelli, would have spoken about these funds, who had presented a complaint in 2022, suggesting tax violations.

Margaret claims that she and her five children with French-based Russian count Serge de Pahlen would be excluded from the inheritance.

Hence a long war fought with stamped papers and inside the courtrooms with the other children she had with Alan Elkann, Lapo, Ginevra and John, the latter who now finds himself under investigation together with Giancarlo Ferrero, in the role of accountant and not as president of Juventus, and Urs von Gruenigen, a Swiss notary who drew up the wills of Marella Caracciolo Agnelli.

Margherita had signed an agreement with her mother, in Geneva in 2004, a year after the death of Gianni Agnelli, in which the lawyer's second daughter renounced her shareholdings in the family companies, liquidating the share of the company December, obtaining in exchange the contribution of assets for the equivalent of 1.3 billion.

Marella, who died in 2019, had indicated the three Elkann in her inheritance and Margherita had contested the wills before the Swiss authorities claiming to be the victim of a conspiracy.

From the investigation by the Turin prosecutor's office there are currently no shortage of surprises, such as those that came from the graphological consultancy requested by the magistrates, which highlights that there is "the reasonably apocryphal nature of the signatures attributable to Marella in some documents" .
