A fire, which broke out just before 11pm yesterday in the port area of Ancona, involved two sheet metal sheds used by some companies within the Fincantieri area.
The fire, which apparently affected a warehouse and then spread to a second adjacent one, released a dense cloud of smoke: teams of the fire brigade from Ancona and Osimo and personnel from Jesi intervened on the spot with a tanker to contain the fire and avoid involvement neighboring destructions.
Inside the warehouses there would have been some materials and equipment used for work inside the ships: at the moment there are no people reported to have been intoxicated or injured by the flames.
The fire is currently under control and firefighters are completing the extinguishing and clearing of burned material operations.
The Prefecture was also informed of the fact.
The Police intervened on site to ascertain the causes of the fire and carry out all necessary investigations.
