The so-called "save mayors" rule, which separates political responsibility from administrative responsibility, invoked for some time by the ANCI, could soon become reality.
Forza Italia and Lega have in fact deposited two amendments to the electoral decree in the Senate that go in this direction and which take up the PD's agenda for the Nordio bill which had instead been rejected by the government.
FI senator Mario Occhiuto explained to ANSA that he "hopes" that the government will give the green light to this law which would avoid situations such as that of Chiara Appendino being charged in Turin for the incidents in Piazza San Carlo.
