Two chapters of Jennifer Lopez's life 22 years apart.
'This Is Me... Now', the New York artist's ninth album, has just been released, a sort of follow up to 'This Is Me... Then', released in 2002. At the time JLo had started a romantic relationship with Ben Affleck, whom she met in 2001 on the set of 'Gigli'.
The two broke up in 2004 shortly before going to the altar.
Twenty years later, 'Bennifer', as the couple was nicknamed, has returned and now, in 2024, the 'This Is Me' series continues and the new album is the soundtrack to the new chapter of Lopez's life, one in which there is the culmination of a dream of love.
The album is mostly focused on the love for her current husband, therefore, but there is also a healthy dose of self-love.
"Do good for yourself and you will do good for the world. It all starts with you, we often forget that," writes People, quoting the singer.
The new album will be followed by a tour, 'This is Me Now… The Tour', the first in five years.
The first date will be Orlando, Florida, on June 26th, then stops are planned in 30 other cities in North America.
People also writes, again quoting Lopez, that 'This Is Me ... Now' could be a swan song, her last album, the one in which she managed to find what she was looking for in terms of love.
"Capture - he explained - this moment to really say the things I want to say about love, that is, that real love exists and that some things are forever. Please don't stop believing in it, love is all that matters in life ".
But 'Jenny from the block' couldn't help but go big and so in addition to an album, there is also a film, 'This Is Me... Now: A Love Story'.
If that wasn't enough, a behind-the-scenes documentary, 'The Greatest Love Story Never Told,' will also be released on February 27.
Both the film and the documentary will be available on Prime Video.
The movie 'This Is Me' is a $20 million musical version financed completely by Lopez and in it she does practically everything, singing, dancing and even rapping.
"Everyone called me crazy," she said of the film.
