During the night with only three NBA games scheduled, the Grizzly Memphis beat the Milwaukee Bucks, third in the East Conference, 113-110;
while the Minnesota Timberwolves beat Portland 128 to 91. The Golden State Warriors beat the Utah Jazz 140-137.
The Bucks lost, despite Giannis Antetokounmpo's 35 points and 12 key passes.
The T-Wolves, thanks to 34 points from Anthony Edwards, crushed Portland, second to last in the West Conference, which thus suffered its sixth defeat in a row.
In the first quarter the Bucks posted a 44-14 run.
In Golden State's victory over the Jazz, Klay Thompson's departure from the bench made the news: the last time the quadruple NBA champion did not start in the starting lineup dates back to 12 years, in March 2012 when he was still a rookie.
Regardless, the 34-year-old forward scored 35 points, his best total of the season, on 7 of 13 three-point shots. (
