No, these are not pineapples and not even yellow artichokes: meet the desert chokeberry that is blooming these days in the desert.
Nature and Parks Authority inspector Jamil Atrash documented the desert choked flower in the Ein Yahav Crater Reserve and Hatira Creek in the Negev.
Jamil says that he saw the flower when he was walking in the sandy plain, Mishor Yamin and Nahal Yamin, and also when he continued down the "Maale Yamin" and met Nahal Hatira, in the shade of a large acacia tree.
Travelers who arrive at Ein Yerkam will be able to observe the amazing bloom.
