In search of the Italian rapper of the future, Fabri Fibra, Geolier and Rose Villain open the microphones of 'Nuova Scena - Rhythm + Flow Italia', from Monday 19th on Netflix.

The show, produced by Fremantle, is the one whose protagonist is the rap music competition, with the three judges engaged in the search for characters who could be candidates to mark the new Italian rap scene.

The rappers compete for the prize up for grabs for the winner of 100,000 euros.

"Rap is already a show in itself - commented Fabri Fibra - starting from the stories it tells. Even those involved in difficult legal situations try to get out of them with art and for this reason it is an example for those who perhaps face that fate it's condemned and that's it. In this format I found a concrete interest in rap and if they had asked me to participate even ten years ago, I would have accepted. However, I confirm that I would never participate in other talent shows."

The 8-episode show will be divided into three parts and the first four episodes will be released on Monday 19 February, with Fabri Fibra, Geolier and Rose Villain grappling with the new rappers in the most representative Italian cities for the genre, namely Rome, Naples and Milan.

"I already knew some rappers from Naples - commented Geolier - because we started out together. It was difficult for me because I had to deal with rappers with whom I had rented the first studio. I was struck by the story of one of them, who grew up in America until he was eight years old and then returned to Secondigliano after his father's arrest".

During their search for the rap talent that will be, the three judges will be joined by well-known names of Italian rap, from Ernia to Fred De Palma, passing through Ketama126, Lazza, Lele Blade, Nayt, Nitro, Rocco Hunt, Squarta and Yung Snapp.

In episodes 5, 6 and 7, which will debut on Monday 26 February, the young rappers will also have to compete with freestyle tests, rap battles, video clips and, above all, featuring with Guè, Madame, Marracash and Noyz Narcos.

"For me it was a challenge - explained Rose Villain - because I didn't know if I would be able to judge the art of others, which is always very subjective. I found myself faced with rappers with the hunger to succeed and I magazine in their stories".

The final of the show will be available on Netflix from Monday 4 March, with the three most deserving artists called to present their original song, guided by the desire to transform their dream rhymes into reality.

"We wanted the show to show the differences in the way of rapping in the different areas of Italy - added Fibra - because they have specific characteristics. In Rome there is a sort of decadentism, while in Milan there is the recording industry and many who get there take it for granted that they have already won."

Different again, the rhymes that come from Naples.

"In Naples when you rap you always want to give a message and make it understood. If you listen with your eyes closed you already know that that rap comes from Naples. In general, Italian rap can compete with Europe".
