THE PARISIAN WEEKEND. Almost unknown a year ago, the actor with his disconcerting phrasing has become essential. Up for three awards

We hear him before we see him, posing for the photographer with a mixture of playful diligence and sympathetic boasting.

Raphaël Quenard laughs at life and at its jokes.

We hear him because he speaks loudly, with well-chosen words, chanted in a voice so exotic that everyone thinks she is traveling.

Jonathan Cohen, with whom he filmed in season 3 of “Family Business” (2021) and “Sentinel” (2023), sums things up in his own way: “When Raph’ appears on the screen, we are in the United States United, it even has something of Viggo Mortensen;

when he opens his mouth, we are in Quimper or Belgium!

» “I'm also often asked if I'm Swiss or Swiss,” laughs the 32-year-old actor.

But it's always been my way of speaking.

I think my nasal septum was displaced by a hit from the BMX handlebars.
