The Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, said this in a video link with a CGIL event in Bari. "The information transmitted up to now - he added - is partial, for example the composition of the debt has not been communicated , and whether they are certain, liquid and collectible credits. We have limited ourselves, to an incomplete extent, to information on a few dozen companies compared to a few thousand".
"We have expressed to the unions our desire to maintain and preserve the country's production plants and industries. Certainly also its steel industry, for which we have a plan that includes four production hubs", added Urso.
"The first - he explained - is the one at the forefront of green steelworks in Europe, Italian companies are the most advanced in this sector. The second is the Piombino hub, which we are reconstituting on the basis of two foreign investments, which shape the rebirth of the steelworks site and the repayment of the work of those who are currently on layoffs".
Urso clarified that "the third is the Terni hub, for which we are defining the planning contract with the Arvedi group, so that it can become significant again. Finally, today we must face with determination, all together, the largest steel industry of Europe, that is, the former Ilva hub, from Taranto to Liguria to the other Italian factories".
