The ice cream inspired by the Italian tennis champion Jannik Sinner is born.
The idea comes from master ice cream maker Eugenio Morrone, already a world ice cream champion, who created an ice cream flavored with mandarin, carrot and lemon.
Morrone entered the WorldRanking Hall of Fame in 2022 and in 2024 was awarded the Three Cones of GamberoRosso.
The ice cream dedicated to Sinner was born in the ice cream shop in the historic center of Rome, in the Trastevere district, 'Fiordiluna' in viadella Lungaretta.
Mandarins from the Pontine plain, carrots from Maccarese and lemons from Formia were used to make the ice cream.
"It's a tribute - states Eugenio Morrone - to Jannik and his talent. I thought of an ice cream with a low sugar content but rich in fiber and vitamins. So a mandarin flavour, with a sour and penetrating aroma; a delicately sweeter carrot; lemon with a more intense scent. A fresh and summery ice cream, with the hope of continuing towards new trophies in the coming months".
