"There is an ongoing investigation and I can't say anything."
Mayor Dario Nardella said this, when questioned by reporters, who asked him about alleged irregularities of two workers originally from the Maghreb, among the victims of the collapse on the Florence construction site, and who were not in compliance with their documents.
Based on what we learn from the investigations underway into the matter, in fact, two North African workers who died on the construction site may not have had their residence permits in order.
There are four Maghreb workers involved in the collapse.
Three are dead and the bodies have been recovered.
They are MohamedToukabri, 54 years old from Tunisia, and the Moroccans Mohamed ElFerhane, 24 years old, and Taoufik Haidar, 45 years old.
The fourth is the missing person for whom the search continues in the construction site area, Bouzekri Rachimi, 56 years old, also from Morocco.
At least two would be residents in Lombardy, one in Umbria.
