Atalanta beat Sassuolo 3-0 in an early matchday 25 of Serie A. In Bergamo, Gasperini's team took the lead through Pasalic in the 22nd minute.
The guests hit the crossbar after half an hour and could have then equalized from a penalty but Carnesecchi saved both of Pinamonti's shots, with an encore granted by the referee due to an infringement by the Atalanta defenders at the time of the first penalty.
In the second half the Bergamo team, fourth in the standings and with their fifth success in a row, closed the match by scoring with Koopmeiners and Bakker.
