Two inmates escaped from Trani prison in the early afternoon.
These are two migrant citizens aged around 30, accused of crimes against property and people.
The two were in the walking area of the reception department and climbed over the rear wall of the structure.
They then dispersed into the surrounding countryside.
Investigations by the police are underway.
The last escape from the Trani prison dates back to August 2021 when Daniele Arciuli and Giuseppe De Noya escaped: the first was arrested after two months, the other turned himself in a few days later
