A 19-year-old boy was hit and killed by a bus this morning in Bergamo: the accident occurred at 8.40 in Piazzale Marconi, the crossroads of the bus, railway and tram stations.
The young man was with the scooter, which he was pushing on foot at the time, and was hit by the bus which - according to what has been reconstructed - he was reaching to get on with his friends.
The 118 vehicles arrived on the scene, but there was nothing that could be done for the young man - an Italian from a Moroccan family -: the driver would not have seen him and dragged the victim and the scooter for a few metres.
