The one who was mother of Lou, but also of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kate Barry, was also the happy grandmother of 6 grandchildren.

“She’s everywhere and he knows it.
She loved him very much and indeed, they live with us, those who left.

Regarding her own childhood alongside Serge Gainsbourg's ex-partner, the singer recalled an anecdote.
“She had the strange idea that it was quite sexy to be a mother, so she took us everywhere, at work, in dressing rooms... Even though it was a time when, when you were a desirable woman, the subconscious was that maybe you were available in some way.
For boys too, the Beatles couldn't say they were married.
But she was delighted to come with the bottles, the things, breast feeding,” she recalled.

A few days after the death of his mother, Lou Doillon shared a precious tribute on his Instagram account.
“Mom, there's Jane B and my Bonnie Lyes over the Ocean in my head on repeat since Sunday, there are Jacques' love letters, surrounded by a red ribbon that I found near your bed.
There is your word next to mine, “My Sentinel Lou”.
There is you who put everyone before you, and sometimes before us (...) There is Charlotte and Roman yesterday, us, near you one last time,” we could read.
And to conclude: “Mom, thank you for all these adventures, thank you for not having been ordinary, reasonable and docile.
All these very peaceful/reasoned people of tomorrow are already annoying me...And there is your little Laszlo who is one year old today.”
