Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today asked the government to reject ''any attempt to unilaterally impose a Palestinian state on Israel''.
The prime minister, a statement specifies, submitted to the ministers' vote a declaration in which he reiterates Israel's opposition to any ''international diktat''.
After reiterating that an agreement with the Palestinians must result from bilateral negotiations, Netanyahu states that ''unilateral recognition of the Palestinian state, after the October 7 massacre, would bestow an enormous reward on terrorism... and would prevent any peace agreement in the future' '.
