The fog this morning caused a series of huge collisions on the A1 motorway in the stretch between Piacenza and Parma: at least thirty vehicles were involved and at least 15 people were injured at the moment, one of whom was transported in maximum severity to the Maggiore hospital in Parma.
118 also brought some bags of blood to the scene by helicopter.
There are at least two points where the accidents occurred near Alseno (province of Piacenza) in the direction of Bologna, between km 80 and 85. The 118 sent several vehicles to the scene from both Piacenza and Fidenza and the police also intervened of the fire from Piacenza and Fiorenzuola.
Several patrols were carried out by the traffic police.
The section of A1 Piacenza-Parma (between the A1/A21 junction and Parma) was closed in both directions

In the closed section the company reports queues in the direction of Bologna and at least seven kilometers of queues in the direction of Milan.
The stations of Basso Lodigiano, Fiorenzuola and Fidenza remain closed on entry and in both directions.
The rescue services, activated in emergency mode, are busy.

Fog also on the A22, particularly thick in the stretch between Mantua and Carpi.
A safety car service is active to standardize transit speeds and guarantee the maximum possible safety for those traveling.
The posted speed limit is 50 kilometers per hour.
Apart from some minor collisions, all without injuries, traffic is currently normal, the company informs.
Visibility is around 70 metres.
All Autostrada del Brennero staff, assisted by numerous traffic police patrols, are mobilised.
Fog banks also between Verona and Modena, at the moment without closures.
In recent days, a stretch of approximately 80 kilometers had been closed for three days in a row.
