China is "concerned" about last week's EU investigation into state-owned rail giant CRRC Qingdao Sifang "over the so-called subsidy issue".

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning, referring to Brussels' first in-depth move on the potentially distortive role of the foreign subsidy market, said that "we hope that the European side will take a cautious attitude towards regulations on foreign subsidies, resolve specific trade issues through dialogue and consultation and creates a fair, equitable and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese companies."
