A food and wine journey among the Italian specialties most attentive to the impact on the environment and society: this is what the first edition of Cibovagare, an event for artisanal and sustainable Made in Italy products, offers from 16 to 18 March.
The event, spread over three days in a spinning mill transformed into the Fiere di Santa Lucia di Piave exhibition center (Treviso), presents a calendar of experiences, talks and tastings to immerse yourself in a selection of Italian producers from the world of food and drink attentive to sustainability .
The objective of the trade fair, say the organizers, "is to eliminate the distances between those who produce, those who distribute and those who consume, creating a live meeting made up of tasting, listening to exciting stories and the culture of eating and cooking well and quality".
The event presents, by way of example, a proposal that ranges from flours to ham to liqueurs.
"We have met many of them, food wandering around Italy on our gastronomic tours. And it is - comment Francesca Palenzona, managing director of Idea Plus, the organizing company, and Cristina Rombolà, coordinator of the Cibovagare portal - to make these wonders accessible to all, even to those who do not always have the opportunity to travel to discover the most authentic Made in Italy, that we have decided to collect in a single moment a selection of the excellences and the stories of their creators. The intent is to give space to many stories, small and even very small, of enlightened sustainability. Santa Lucia di Piave, an important crossroads of the Triveneto, a dynamic, lively and very curious area about news in the sector, seemed to us the right place to launch this first edition".
