She had been their godmother since 1993. The actress Anny Duperey is stepping aside, by “mutual agreement”, from the SOS Villages d'Enfants France association, its general director Isabelle Moret announced in a press release.
Thirty years of commitment alongside this NGO dedicated to reuniting separated families and protecting children will not have withstood the ill winds of controversy, after the comments made by the actress on the Jacquot affair.
We agreed with Anny Duperey that it was preferable to put an end to her sponsorship.
We would like to thank her for her commitment and for her availability over many years.

Questioned on February 10 on RTL, about Judith Godrèche's accusations against Benoît Jacquot and Jacques Doillon, the septuagenarian wanted to delay: "I'm going to get hit but I think that all of this is extremely exaggerated," she defended.
Six years with a director, under the influence of course, but still consenting, right?
“, she pretended to question, saying she had little taste for “late witch hunts”.
“Temper the media frenzy”
It had also relaunched a debate, still lively within the cinema world, on “the man and the work”.
“Let us admit that some men were, indeed, predators… but they sometimes did beautiful works.
I would not at all like us to condemn their works at the same time as the man,” she said, relaunching, while seeming to minimize it, the discussion on the Roman Polanski affair, who “slept with a girl who was 15 50 or 60 years ago.”
Faced with incomprehension, Duperey backpedaled the next day.
“What I wanted, very clumsily, I agree, because it is beneficial for the victims to finally express themselves after such a long silence, is to temper the media excitement,” she wrote in a press release.
“I would like to state that obviously I condemn any action of rape or seductive abuse of power – whether it takes place against adults and especially children or adolescents.
It's not for nothing that I have been a sponsor of an association for the defense of children for over 30 years!

Apologies involving him which were not enough for SOS children's villages.
“Anny Duperey, whose clumsy comments contravene the very meaning of our child protection action, informed us that she had expressed regrets and apologized to Judith Godrèche.
We salute him,” writes Isabelle Moret in her press release.
“However, by mutual agreement, we agreed that it was preferable to put an end to his sponsorship.
We would like to thank her for her commitment to the association and for her availability over many years which has been particularly valuable to us.”
And to recall the unanimous fight so that “in all circumstances, public, professional or family, speech is freed”.
