The average salary for Germans is just under 49,000 euros per year, but doctors are well above that.

On average, Germans earn almost 49,000 euros gross per year.

writes
with reference to the Kununu paycheck.
The annual salary of most doctors is clearly higher, at an average of 73,200 euros per year (gross).
According to
Focus,
as a doctor you can expect a starting salary of around 29,000 euros (per year, gross), and as an experienced top doctor you can expect up to 146,500 euros.
But even within the medical cosmos there are disciplines in which people earn more than anywhere else.
Using data from the
Federal Statistical Office
(as of 2019), the website
Praktikarzt.de
compared the income from various medical areas and identified the five top earners.
Doctors earn the most in these specialties
Radiology is a specialty in which practice income and sales are regularly very high.
According to Kununu, a radiologist earns on average around 120,400 euros per year (gross).

What exactly do the specialists do?
Radiology
: Radiologists basically take all kinds of images of the body, e.g.

Ophthalmology
: Ophthalmologists diagnose, treat and prevent diseases related to the eyes.
Dermatology
: Dermatologists specialize in the largest human organ and take care of, among other things, cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin diseases.
They also often offer aesthetic treatments, such as Botox injections.
Orthopedics
: Orthopedists are also known colloquially as bone breakers.
They take care of the human musculoskeletal system.
Among other things, they correct fractures or provide joint replacements.
Urology
: Urologists are the experts in everything related to the urinary tract.
They treat problems such as kidney stones and urinary tract infections, as well as prostate diseases and infertility.
