High production costs, "unfair competition" from imports from third countries, regulations considered too rigid: the Spanish agricultural world keeps its demands intact, expressed in the last two weeks in many provinces with multiple demonstrations and protests.
Demonstrative acts also continued this morning, with tractor parades in the streets of Logroño (Rioja region), on the island of Mallorca and in the province of Almería (Andalusia) and road blocks near Teruel (Aragon).
News is also expected - writes the Efe news agency - from the Unión de Uniones organization regarding the details of a demonstration scheduled for Wednesday in Madrid.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, has a meeting on the agenda for this afternoon with representatives of the various regional administrations of Spain to discuss the problems of the sector, in view of an eagerly awaited summit of European Agriculture Ministers scheduled for February 26th in Brussels .
