Metal foreign bodies have found their way into cookies that are sold in many supermarkets nationwide.

Rewe, Edeka, Kaufland and Aldi, among others, are affected by the recall.

Oostherhout – Food recalls continue to cause concern.

Most recently, Rewe and Kaufland were affected by a dessert recall due to salmonella, the most common cause of food recalls.

Now a biscuit manufacturer has issued a mega recall for various biscuit specialties from its company that were sold throughout Germany.

Metal foreign bodies may have gotten into the products.

Due to the risk of injury when consumed, customers should definitely pay attention to the recall and under no circumstances consume the affected product.

Sold at Aldi, Lidl, Edeka, Netto, Rewe and Co.: Cookie recall due to risk of injury

The Dutch biscuit manufacturer Banketbakkerij Merba BV warns against the consumption of a total of seventeen (!) different types of pastries that were sold in German discounters.

The different biscuit products are offered under different product names at Metro, tegut, Famila, Markant, Rewe, Aldi, Penny, Edeka, Netto, Kaufland and Lidl.

Due to a production error, metal foreign bodies found their way into cookies that were sold at Lidl, Rewe, Aldi, Edeka and other supermarkets.

The manufacturer has launched a recall.

Consumers should be careful: the federal state authorities and the BVL also warn against consuming the baked goods.

According to the official portalfoodwarning.de from Friday (February 16), “it cannot be ruled out that there may be metal foreign bodies in individual packages with the stated best-before dates (best before dates) and batch numbers.”

Affected cookies sold in all federal states: recall affects Aldi, Lidl and Kaufland

The affected items were offered at various retail companies nationwide.

Banketbakkerij Merba BV and the affected discounters reacted immediately - and immediately removed the relevant goods from sale, as the manufacturer wrote in a statement.

Other items and other best-before dates or batch numbers are not affected.

Customers from Aldi, Lidl, Rewe, Edeka, Kaufland, Netto and other markets should check the products they have purchased.

Recall of many cookies: Affected customers will get their money back even without a receipt

Consumers who have purchased the corresponding items with the stated best-before dates can return them to their respective shopping locations for a refund of the purchase price, even without presenting the receipt.
