If you want it to grow upwards, the winter jasmine needs a climbing aid to beautify walls or pergolas, for example, using its long and flexible shoots.
Propagate through offshoots – that’s how it works
However, since several plants are necessary for a long wall, it makes sense to propagate winter jasmine.
This is easiest and quickest with offshoots.
Proceed as follows:
In winter or early spring, select a one- to two-year-old shoot of winter jasmine.
Dig a shallow depression under the shoot.
According to My Beautiful Garden,
place
the knife on the shoot to make a so-called wounding cut.
Do not cut right into the wood, but only enough to encourage root formation.
Place the shoot in the hollow and add loose soil over it and water the whole thing well.
Then simply disconnect from the mother plant.
