Highlights: Taxis: new snail operations planned for this Monday throughout France. They denounce unfair remuneration and demand the withdrawal of an agreement between their sector and the National Health Insurance Fund (Cnam) concerning medical transport. With the rise in fuel prices, which are rising again, taxis fear a drop in their turnover. It remains to be seen whether the government will hear their anger, or whether new actions will be planned next month. In the capital, 500 taxis are currently heading towards the Ministry of Transport, located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.

Although they have already mobilized in December and January, these road professionals are still demanding the withdrawal of an agreement established with the Cnam, which reduces their remuneration when transporting patients.

After the train controllers and the farmers, it is now the turn of the taxis to show their discontent.

If they had already mobilized on December 11 and January 29, new actions are planned this Monday throughout France.

At the call of several unions, including the National Taxi Union, they denounce unfair remuneration and demand the withdrawal of an agreement established between their sector and the National Health Insurance Fund (Cnam) concerning medical transport.

This agreement provides in particular for a reduction in the reimbursement of the price of taxi fares when a patient refuses to share theirs to hospitals or care centers.

With the rise in fuel prices, which are rising again, taxis fear a drop in their turnover.

“The taxis, if they mobilize, do not want increases or a new law, they want respect for the law which was passed in Parliament to adjust a balance between taxis and competition

,” explained this Monday on BFMTV Mousshine Berrada, president of the National Union of Paris Taxis.

In the capital, 500 taxis are currently heading towards the Ministry of Transport, located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.

In the rest of France, snail operations are increasing, such as in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille where filter dams have been installed in airports and train stations.

Strasbourg Entzheim airport was also targeted by road professionals.

In Hauts-de-France, a convoy of dozens of taxis is present between Laon and Soissons on the RN2, with a filter barrier in the latter city present until noon this Monday.

It remains to be seen whether the government will hear their anger, or whether new actions will be planned next month.
