The best Italian craft beers of 2024 were awarded in Rimini, on the inaugural day of the ninth edition of Beer&Food Attraction, during the 19th edition of Beer of the Year, the longest running brewing competition in Italy organized by Unionbirra.

The Brewery of the Year award - explains a note from the organizers of the competition - went to the brewery in Formello, in the province of Rome, 'Ritual Lab' which won five gold and one bronze with its beers, in four different macro categories.

The region with the highest number of awarded beers was Lombardy with 23 awards, followed by Piedmont with 20, followed by Veneto with 13, Tuscany with 12, Lazio with 11, Marche with 10, Trentino-Alto Adige and Umbria with 9, Emilia Romagna with 8, Abruzzo with 7, Friuli Venezia Giulia with 5, Sicily, Calabria, Basilicata and Sardinia with 2, Campania with 1.

The winners were defined by the 84 international judges, coming from abroad and from all over Italy, engaged in blind tastings, who selected the 3 winning beers for all categories.
