Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Zendaya will be the co-chairs of the next Met gala with Anna Wintour.
Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew will be honorary chairs.
This was announced by the American museum that hosts the Costume Institute for which the gala is the major source of fundraising.
It is the third time that Bad Bunny is the 'godfather' of the party, the first for Hemsworth while Zendaya has already been to the Met five times and J-Lo even 13.
Party theme of the year - the invitation of the 6th May is the most coveted among Hollywood VIPs and stars - it will be The Garden of Time in line with that of the exhibition organized by the curator Andrew Bolton: Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, in which a series of Fashion's Sleeping Beauties - dresses too beautiful and fragile to ever be worn again even by a mannequin - will be presented as Disney's heroine in crystal coffins waiting for a prince who, with the help of new technologies, manage to wake them from their sleep.
According to Vogue, the theme of the dress code is inspired by a story of the same title by the British novelist JG Ballard: a dark fairy tale from 1962 in which Count Axel and his wife live in their own private Eden which they keep unchanged by picking flowers that 'freeze ' time, but in the background emerges a mechanized fury that threatens to destroy their placid existence.
