During the Super Bowl, which took place on Sunday February 11, everyone had eyes only for Taylor Swift, who came to admire the prowess of her companion Travis Kelce.
At least, until Rumi Carter came on the scene.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé's 6-year-old daughter arrived all in leather, in an outfit matching her father's, during what was one of her rare public appearances.
Born on June 13, 2017, Rumi and his twin brother, Sir, grew up away from the cameras, in the secrecy of the Carter property.
But they nonetheless had a turbulent start to their lives.

First of all, the mere prospect of their birth, announced on February 1, 2017 on Beyoncé's Instagram account, earned the singer a record number of likes.
In the portrait, which today has 10 million “likes”, the singer appears on her knees, in underwear, covered in a green veil and with her hands placed on her rounded stomach.
It's official: five years after the birth of her eldest daughter Blue Ivy, Beyoncé is preparing to welcome twins.

“My health and that of my babies were in danger”
“We would like to share our love and happiness,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
We have been blessed twice.
We are extremely grateful that our family will be growing with two babies and we thank you for your well wishes.”
Signed: “the Carters”.
Among the fans, the excitement is total.
But behind the scenes, Beyoncé is experiencing an “extremely difficult” pregnancy, like many women pregnant with twins.
Sir and Rumi were born in Los Angeles, shortly before the summer of 2017. And spent the first weeks of their lives in a neonatal intensive care unit.
In an interview with
Vogue magazine in 2018
, the
Who Run the World (Girls)
singer
looks back on this complicated pregnancy.
“I weighed 97 kilos the day I gave birth to Rumi and Sir,” she confided.
I was swollen due to toxemia and remained bedridden for over a month.
My health and that of my babies were in danger, so I had an emergency C-section.
We spent many weeks in the natal intensive care unit.”
"He's a Sir"
Once the ordeal has been overcome, Jay-Z and Beyoncé are ready to return to the forefront (media).
A month after the birth of the twins, the couple made their first public appearance.
Before revealing, in the process, the first photograph of the children, as well as their first names, Rumi and Sir.
The reasons for this choice remain, to this day, a bit nebulous.
“Rumi (
a 13th century Persian poet
,
Editor’s note
) is our favorite poet, so we gave this first name to our daughter,” explained Jay-Z in August 2017. For Sir (
“sir or lord” in French, Editor’s note
), it It was like saying: come on sir, let's go out the door (…).
He just came out, and we said to ourselves: he’s a Sir.”
During the following years, Beyoncé limited her twins' public appearances as much as possible.
And if their sister Blue Ivy would study at the Center for Early Education, near their home in Los Angeles, no one knows where Sir and Rumi go to school.
His fans will barely be treated to a few photos of their family vacation, a photo from a fancy dress party and flash videos.
Like in 2018, when Beyoncé and Jay-Z renewed their vows on the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary.
Or in the video of a shoot for

, since deleted.
But in August 2021, the artist puts her twins back in the spotlight.
The latter in fact act as models for its Ivy Park Kids collection, designed on the theme of rodeo.
A strong sense of style
In this ad, Beyoncé wears a blue outfit that matches that of her twins.
Sir also appears wearing a cowboy hat of the same color.
It must be said that the star's two children have inherited her sense of style.
“During our family vacations, we like to coordinate our outfits,” she recounts in the columns of
Harper's Bazaar
.
My children usually come with me to film sets and we dress them in
extra-extra-small
versions of my clothes, so that they match.”
Despite their young age, and like their big sister Blue Ivy, 12 years old, Rumi and Sir would have very strong tastes in fashion.
“They are real
fashionistas
,” their grandmother Tina told
People
.
They know precisely what they like and don't like.
When Beyoncé looks at the first samples from her collections, they look at them and know what they like and what they don't like.”
This is evidenced by Rumi's quick response, addressed to her sister Blue Ivy, who criticizes her outfit – Mikey Mouse shorts and a shiny top – during a stay at Disneyland.
“Blue said: 'My mother would be angry because she (
Rumi
,
Editor's note
) is doing too much,'” Tina remembered.
And Rumi said, “That’s my style.”
She is only 5 years old.
I was impressed.”
Muses
It is clear: Beyoncé's twins seem to have a temperament as assertive as that of their sister.
And participate, like the latter, in the artistic life of their mother.
In 2019, Rumi and Blue appeared in her music video
Brown Skin Girl
.
In January 2021, Beyoncé shared a sequence in which Rumi sways to the sound of
Savage Remix
.
A year and a half later, she thanks her three children for being a source of inspiration for her album
Renaissance
.
“I would like to especially thank Rumi, Sir and Blue for giving me the space, creativity and inspiration for this album,” she wrote on her website, in the caption of a photo on in which she appears lying alongside her three sleeping children.
And if they participate in the singer's artistic life, the twins have also inherited her hectic lifestyle.
In July 2023, Rumi poses alongside his mother, Madonna and the latter's children, backstage at a concert.
The twins also feature in the trailer for her film
Renaissance: a Film by Beyoncé
.
We see the star kissing her son and Rumi doing her stretches, during the singer's tour.
An extraordinary existence, like that of the singer and her aura.
For Tina Knowles-Lawson, it's certain: Rumi will "run the world" - a bit like her mother, ultimately.
