A flare lit in the middle of a show and the immediate memory of the Cro-Magnon tragedy.

A recital by the artist

El Doctor

that took place on Saturday at

Niceto Club

, in the Palermo neighborhood, had to be cancelled, according to the dance venue, when a person in the audience lit up pyrotechnics during the concert.

The event was recorded in a video that went viral this Sunday published on the

X

account by the user @VandoniMarco.

In the few seconds that the recording lasts,

you can see a person holding the smoke flare high and personnel identified as Prevention advancing quickly towards him.

The publication quickly filled with comments where

users expressed surprise at the event and the inevitable memory of the Cromañón tragedy

, which occurred at the end of 2004 in the Once neighborhood, when

194 people died, mostly young people, when a fire broke out due to a flare lit during a recital by the band Callejeros.

The user @VandoniMarco also expressed his indignation at the incident and said that to enter the dance venue they made him throw an empty water bottle.

“And they let a flare pass, what are we doing guys?”

he asked himself.

"How are you going to wear a flare at a recital when the Cromañón tragedy was experienced in this country? There was no security in Niceto to catch people?" asked another Internet user on the same social network.

Another, for his part, questioned: "People were stupid 20 years ago and they still are today. It is not a matter of knowing the history of Cro-Magnon or not, it is having a minimum of common sense. The one who caught it there is an idiot, idiot who caught her in Niceto."

Niceto's statement: "We repudiate these negligent acts"

An explanation of the event was published from the Niceto Club Instagram account and it was stated that the recital was canceled when the lit flare was detected.

Meanwhile,

the artist El Doctor, on the other hand, did not refer to the presence of the flare

during the recital

or the suspension of the concert

and instead asked his fans in his

stories

for the appearance of the flag of a group of fans .

“As is public knowledge, during the recital by the artist El Doctor, held on Saturday night at Niceto Club,

smoke flares were lit from the audience.

Which

forced the cancellation of the event,

as well as the activation of the fire evacuation protocol or SAS (Self-Protection System) and to take other relevant security measures,” said Niceto Club.

The dance venue acknowledged that it is their "obligation" that "no pyrotechnic items enter the room" and that

they are investigating what happened.

"While we do so, we want to make it clear that

we repudiate these negligent acts that still continue to generate indignation

and, above all, pain in the Argentine music scene.

And even more so now, as it will be 20 years since one of the worst tragedies of our time,” they noted.

The artist The Doctor.

In this context, they called on the public

"and especially the new generations"

to "awareness about the past and the danger of using flares, other pyrotechnic devices and flags in any capacity. Mainly, in closed spaces."

"We must be aware of the impact of our actions and

work together to create a safe

and welcoming environment for everyone," they stated, while highlighting that "the safety and well-being of our community will always be Niceto Club's number one priority."

“Let's continue enjoying the music and the special moments, but let's remember to do it in a responsible and respectful way.

Let's take care of each other and take care of each other.

May the memory be present to teach us to never repeat these actions and to protect ourselves,” they concluded.
