The leader of the industrialists Carlo Bonomi and the delegate for Europe Stefano Pan launch, with a dossier of about a hundred pages, "Fabbrica Europa. Confindustria's proposals for a competitive Europe": an analysis - elaborated in a logic of system', involving all the branches of via dell'Astronomia, aimed at the political forces and in particular the candidates in the next European elections.
"The future of Europe is linked to the Renaissance of European industry", they underline, announcing a series of meetings before the elections, starting with the Italian MEPs: "Businesses have a crucial function in society, thanks to their ability to produce goods and services and to create quality jobs. But, to overcome global challenges, the only way forward is to focus on renewed competitiveness of European industry. Only a competitive and strong industry will be able to guarantee prosperity, well-being and social peace on our continent".
The European Parliament "which will be elected next June - Bonomi and Pan continue to indicate in the presentation of the document - will have to make vital decisions for the European Union: the war in Ukraine and the Middle East, the energy crisis and the raw materials crisis, the initiatives of our global competitors (primarily the USA and China) require Europe to take strong and unprecedented initiatives, and to do so quickly", they warn.
