A notice of the conclusions of the investigation was served on the administrators of two residences for the elderly, in Augusta and Syracuse, accused jointly of multiple manslaughter, aggravated by violations of labor regulations and negligent personal injury.
According to the Prosecutor's Office of Syracuse, the two would have violated the indications for the prevention and control of Covid infection in residential social-health and socio-welfare facilities, and "caused the infection of 23 people between facility operators and guests, causing the death of 6 elderly patients" explains the police who carried out the investigations.
