Four teaching unions
that make up the
CGT
(General Confederation of Labor) announced this Tuesday that they will go
on strike at the beginning of the school year
.
These are
UDA
(Union of Argentine Teachers),
AMET
(Association of Technical Teaching Teachers),
SADOP
(Argentine Union of Private Teachers) and
CEA
(Confederation of Argentine Educators), the teaching labels that launched the strike announcement to protest because they maintain that the Government
did not call them to joint negotiations
.
The announcement comes while the Executive is analyzing the possibility of declaring education as an essential service, which would have an impact on union protest forms, which should guarantee 75% of active functions during a strike.
The four unions that call for the measure are
a minority in number of members
but they are also the ones that make up the workers' confederation that analyzes more general force measures.
One of his leaders, Héctor Daer, called for a strike for this Thursday from his base union, Health.
