Every day is Love Your Pet Day for pet owners, but officially it is February 20th.

In keeping with this, here are the 12 funniest records of our beloved four-legged friends.

February 20th is Love Your Pet Day.

Whether rabbits, birds, dogs, cats or other animals: pet owners love their protégés around the clock - regardless of whether they are in the Guinness Book of Records or not.

Let yourself be surprised at which animals have already made it into the record collection.

But be careful: an attack on your funny bones is inevitable.

Some house cats are not only cute companions, but also have such extraordinary talent that they make it into the Guinness Book of Records.

  • The dog with the longest eyelashes is Coco, a poodle-Newfoundland mix.

    His eyelashes are reddish and exactly 17.8 centimeters long.

  • Bibi stacks the most dice on her cat's paw - ten of them.

  • Most tennis balls held in the mouth by a dog: Finley, the golden retriever, still holds this record four years later.

    Goldie was able to grab six balls in his attempt.

  • “Most tricks performed by a cat in a minute” goes under the cat name Didga.

    Together with her owner Robert Dollwet, Didga successfully completed 20 tricks.

  • In September 2014, 109 dogs balanced a treat on their noses at the same time, setting the record for “Most Dogs to Balance a Treat on their Nose.”

    The organizer had previously made headlines with the records for the largest dog obedience lesson, the most people brushing dog teeth at the same time and the largest dog grooming lesson.

  • The “loudest purr of a domestic cat of all time” is attributed to two cats.

    Both the male cat Smokey and the male cat Merlin independently achieved a purring volume of 67.8 decibels.

    The two velvet paws are as loud as a vacuum cleaner.

    For comparison: the noise of a jet aircraft is estimated at around 120 decibels.

  • “The fastest 30 meters on a scooter by a dog” was covered by Norman, the scooter dog, in July 2013.

    His two ears together are 68 centimeters long.
