Michaela Tarantino, Vice President Cinema and Sky Store at Sky, explains to
DWDL.de
: “Our viewers have the freedom to decide for themselves whether they want to watch their next film on demand or be entertained by our popular Sky Cinema channels. “This will give more space to on-demand use and focus more on five linear channels with a higher hit density, explains Tarantino.
Not the first time that Sky has removed channels from its program.
The provider only switched off its SD channels almost a year ago.
In June, Sky removed two knowledge channels from its offering.
