The Hong Kong Stock Exchange opens the session on the rise, driven by data relating to the increase in spending recorded in China during the long Lunar New Year holiday: the Hang Seng index initially rises by 0.3%, reaching 16,222.09 points.
The Shanghai Composite instead lost 0.57% to 2,893.85 points and the Shenzhen Composite lost 0.56% to 1,595.15 points.
