There are few ideas on the markets with operators who seem to be waiting above all for signals on monetary policy from the next minutes of the Fed and the ECB, as well as from the final data on January inflation in the Eurozone, expected on Thursday.
The Ftse Mib index in fact concluded with an increase of 0.08% at 31,701 points, the Ftse All share up by 0.04% at 33,823.
The other stock markets of the Old Continent were along the same lines: the best stock exchange of the day was that of Madrid, up by 0.8%, followed by Paris with a final increase of 0.3%.
London and Frankfurt fell by 0.1%, while Amsterdam lost 0.8%.
Spread between 10-year German BTPs and Bunds increased very slightly: the differential ended at 148 basis points compared to 147 at the start of the session, with the yield on the Treasury product at 3.85%.
Euro solid against the dollar at 1.08.
In the energy sector, the price of gas on the Amsterdam market rebounded: the methane future for delivery in March closed up 2% at 24 euros per megawatt hour.
Oil is declining, dropping to 77 dollars a barrel.
In this climate in Piazza Affari in the large capitalization basket the best stock was Diasorin, which rose by 3.3% to 92.4 euros, with Unipol up by a final 2.1% to 7.15.
Recordati and Hera also did well, both up 1.7%.
Among the weak banks, Bper fell by 2.3%, as did Tim after the run on the day before.
Weak Iveco, which ended down 3.6% at 10.5 euros.
