This was stated by deputy prime minister Antonio Tajani during the press conference for the presentation of the FI congress, speaking about the candidacy for the presidency of Basilicata.
"We are in favor of a third mandate for mayors for municipalities with over 15,000 inhabitants. We are perplexed about the regions because the regions also have legislative power, so as is emerging in the debate on reforms, I believe that 10 years is enough. Other things can also be done , it's not that we necessarily have to be president of the region for 30 years. It's a question of democracy, let's not do it against someone. I'm convinced a synthesis will be found."
