A shocking and
fatal head-on collision
took place this Monday afternoon on Route 88, on the outskirts of Necochea, where a pickup truck collided head-on with a cargo truck.
Two women from Luján who
were on vacation in Necochea
died and a third had to be rushed to the local hospital.
Police sources confirmed that the fatal victims who died instantly are the driver of the Chevrolet Spin,
Mabel Fedele
(63 years old), a retired teacher from a secondary school in Luján;
and
Belén Giosermino
, 20 years old, student at the same educational establishment.
The third woman involved in the accident is Sofía Alonso, 19 years old, who had to be transferred to the Emilio Ferreyra Municipal Hospital.
As of now, her status is "reserved."
The same thing happened with the truck driver, Eduardo Gazpio (59 years old), who suffered minor injuries, although he suffered a nervous breakdown due to the situation: he was hospitalized for "observation."
The tremendous head-on collision
The tremendous collision occurred this Monday, minutes before 5 p.m., on provincial route 88 (connecting the resorts of Necochea and Mar del Plata), at kilometer 103, about 15 kilometers from the Quequén access roundabout.
There, a Chevrolet Spin truck that was heading to Necochea collided head-on against a Mercedes Benz truck with a thermal trailer that was transporting merchandise heading to Mar del Plata, from the "Supermercados Toledo" firm.

“I was traveling to Mar del Plata to be able to refuel because I was traveling to the south of the country and I found the crash in the middle of the road.
“I managed to see one of the injured people,” said Diego P., a YPF truck driver.
In a conversation with the local media
Ecos Diarios
, the truck driver acknowledged that the impact was "tremendous" and that the truck involved was left "in the middle of the shoulder."
"We don't know what the truck is:
it was unrecognizable
; so the impact was very hard," the truck driver admitted.
The causes of the crash are still an enigma.
Experts from the Scientific Police carried out the required tasks and the Quequén Fire Department was in charge of removing the bodies between the twisted iron of the truck.
There, the death of the two women was confirmed, and the hospital transfer of the young woman and the truck driver was ordered.
In the first instance, the case was classified as "double manslaughter" and "wrongful injuries" and prosecutor José Luis Cipolletti, head of the Lobería Prosecutor's Office No. 1, intervened in the case, according to the local newspaper.
According to reports, the route was interrupted for more than three hours and this generated serious delays for vehicles trying to pass from one spa area to the other.
Pain in the educational community of Luján
On the social network Facebook, colleagues and relatives of the former teacher showed their pain through different posts.
"There is

The same did Adelina P. who wrote on Facebook: "Today I woke up with the sad news that you are no longer with us, Mabel Fedele. You were a great coworker, who gave me your hand in my beginnings. Then, each one took her path but, like all teachers, destiny always brought us together again.
And he continued: "I thank destiny for having reunited us in recent years and you, as always so attentive and kind, kept sending me messages. There we caught up on our children, proud of them. But to that same destiny I say: Why? Mabel, thank you, because you always accompanied me in the race. Thank you for being such good people. Thank you for being happy and transmitting it, even with your broken soul. See you Mabel!!", he said goodbye.
