Taboola is tastier and healthier than any other recipe/Nimrod Saunders, styling - Yael Magen
It is common in North African kitchens and also here in Israel it stars, especially in excellent dishes of Arab food.
Until a few years ago, the frika (or friki) was only a thing for Han scholars who would look for it in stores in the Arab villages or in Jaffa, Nazareth and Haifa. It is green wheat that is harvested before it ripens and is roasted or smoked. The result is a grain with a very special and different taste and a health bomb , because the frika contains much more protein, vitamins or minerals than just rice or bulgul.
Here Shahar and Oren take it and turn it into a refreshing and delicious taboula salad (regardless of health, which is always good).
