Ariel Sharon Park in Gush Dan/Ariel Sharon Park
In a solemn ceremony held this morning (Wednesday) at the offices of the Ariel Sharon Park management, a historic lease agreement was signed between the company (HAL) and the Israel Land Administration. The agreement regulates the rights over the entire land area of the park, which is one of the leading green centers in Israel.
The Metropolitan Park Ariel Sharon, which serves as the green wing of Gush Dan, is located in its center, and borders the municipalities of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Ramat Gan, Holon, Azor and Or Yehuda. The park is known as one of the largest projects in the world in the field of environmental restoration, and it covers an area of approximately 8,000 dunams. 2.5 times its area of the Central Park in New York.
Now, after settling the land issue, the Ariel Sharon Park Company is expected to accelerate the pace of development of the various engineering projects, most of which are in advanced processes, and the park is expected to be fully erected in the next 3-5 years.
The CEO of the Ariel Sharon Park Company, Mr. Dan Lichtman, said after the signing that "this is a crucial turning point for us. After years of negotiations and work from headquarters, we were able to settle the land rights and lay a solid foundation for the continued development of the park."
