A "responsibility pact" that commits government, institutions, bodies and social partners to a "national strategy"

on the topic of health and safety at work:

this is the proposal of the CISL which, after the tragedy in Florence, launched a national mobilization

with assemblies and the slogan "Let's stop the blood trail".

The document is divided into ten points, including training, prevention, controls and equal guarantees for private and public procurement.

Proposals which, he explains, "want to call all social actors to a collective responsibility and relaunch a renewed season of discussion to stop deaths and injuries".

The document is divided into ten programmatic points with targeted intervention plans, explains the union led by Luigi Sbarra.

Among the proposals, establishing a qualification system for companies in order to introduce access criteria to tenders based on the possession of knowledge, skills, experience and professionalism.

Define the training obligations for all prevention figures in the workplace, quickly reaching the approval of the State-Regions agreement on training on health and safety at work.

Also provide for large private contracts the same guarantees of quality, transparency, joint liability, contribution and contractual regularity provided for public contracts.

Draw on Inail's budget surpluses for structural investments in prevention, for research and innovation and to intervene on the pensions provided by the institute in the event of an accident and eliminate the deductible.

Strengthen the staff for the supervisory bodies with new hires.

Guarantee safety representation in every workplace.

Support and protect all those who intend to report crimes, discrimination, lack of protection in the face of illegal conditions, lack of rights, denial of dignity at work.

Launch a major training plan in schools.

Ensuring adequate health protection in every workplace by providing health surveillance for each worker that is not limited to periodic medical visits alone, concludes the CISL document.

CGIL and UIL strike, 'Never again deaths at work'.

2-hour stop for construction workers and metalworkers

Two-hour national strike proclaimed by CGIL and UIL, together with the construction and metalworkers categories, after the tragedy in Florence last Friday, in which five workers lost their lives

.

And they take to the streets demanding "No more deaths at work".

Various territorial events organized by the two unions, the main one in Florence, where the general secretaries Maurizio Landini and Pierpaolo Bombardieri will participate in the afternoon.

The protest will be held right near the site of the collapse.

In Rome, CGIL and UIL will be, again in the afternoon, in Piazza Santi Apostoli.

In Milan they will be in garrison in front of the prefecture.

The strike concerns the last two hours of each shift for the employees of Fiom, Fillea, Uilm and Feneal, while the other categories have planned mobilization initiatives and assemblies in the workplace.

The CISL, however, does not go on strike and starts a national mobilization for safety and health protection, with assemblies in the workplace.
