Max Verstappen, triple Formula 1 world champion, set the best time of the day in the pre-season winter tests at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain.
The Red Bull driver beat the British Lando Norris in the McLaren and Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari by more than a second.
Seventh was the other Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.
The teams for these tests only had one single-seater available for their two drivers.
