The government will place its confidence in the Milleproroghe decree in the Senate this afternoon.

This is what was announced at the group leaders' conference at Palazzo Madama.

It will therefore be examined in the text approved by the Chamber.

"The Constitutional Affairs commission - explained the president, Alberto Balboni - was not able to begin and complete the examination of the Milleproroghe. For the umpteenth time - he added - I express the regret of my entire commission for not having been able to delve deeper. The commission unanimously decided as soon as possible to open a reflection on the rules that govern our work because it deserves deep reflection. Our Constitution requires the examination of measures in both houses of Parliament".
