Israeli forces have launched an attack on Damascus: Syrian media report.
The attack targeted an inhabited neighborhood of the Syrian capital today, as announced by the official SANA agency without providing further details.
National TV highlighted that "an Israeli missile attack targeted the residential neighborhood of Kafr Sousa".
According to the National Observatory for Human Rights in Syria, the attack targeted a building used as an operational headquarters by the Iranian Pasdaran and the Lebanese Hezbollah.
The Observatory commented that it was "a targeted assassination" against one or more Iranian or Iranian-linked personalities.
According to the first images released by Syrian state TV, the ten-storey building hit by the raid attributed to Israel was targeted on the fifth floor.
The structure of the building is intact.
On one of the facades there are clear signs of an explosion that occurred inside one of the apartments on the fifth floor after the bullet entered through one of the windows, the edges of which are blackened.
